Marc is a lucky man who is just a big kid at heart and gets to do what he loves every day of his life. Marc started his martial arts “career” only 5 short years ago. His oldest son Brayden was taking karate at Bobby Lawrence Karate in Logan, Utah where he was taught by Adam Smith. It was Marc’s job to pick Brayden up from karate each evening on his way home from work. It didn’t take long for him to realize that he wanted to be part of the action too. His wife surprised him with a year's worth of classes for his 31st birthday and ever since then he’s been hooked.
Not long after starting karate classes, Marc realized that this was something he wanted to spend the rest of his life doing. He didn’t only want to participate in karate, but he wanted to be able to share his love of the martial arts with others. So, he joined the leadership team and every other Bobby Lawrence Karate team available and spent most of his evenings after work at karate for four years, most of that time spent planning and dreaming of opening his own studio.
At the end of those 4 years Marc and his son Brayden were able to earn and receive their black belts together. Only a month later Marc and his family moved to St. George to start their own Bobby Lawrence Karate Studio.
Marc is an incredible instructor to his many students, a fabulous father to his three sons, Brayden (2nd degree blackbelt), Kade ( Brown Belt with green stripe) and Jordan (little ninja white belt), and a loving husband to his wife Shalynn (yellow belt).
He truly knows how to inspire his students and those around him. He loves what he does, loves the students he teaches, and they in turn love him.
I am so excited to see the new place. I would still like to come this summer and hopefully that will come to fruition...I am sending loads of positive vibes your way...may your cup overfloweth!
